If you’re used to Windows and looking for a Task Manager on your Mac, you’ll want to use Activity Monitor. While it’s not exactly the same, it serves a similar purpose, letting you monitor your Mac’s performance, including CPU, memory, disk usage, and more.

How to Open Activity Monitor:

  1. Spotlight Search: Press Command (⌘) + Spacebar, type Activity Monitor, and hit Enter.

  2. Finder: Go to Applications > Utilities and double-click Activity Monitor.

  3. Launchpad: Open Launchpad, go to Other, and click on Activity Monitor.

Once opened, Activity Monitor allows you to view which apps and processes are using the most resources, and even force quit apps that aren’t responding. It’s a simple tool that can help you keep your Mac running efficiently.
